How long will the operation take? Will it be painful?
- The Operation takes about 20 minutes and is done under local anaesthetic.
- You will be awake during the surgery, however, you should not experience any pain as your hand and wrist will be anaesthetised. There will be a few seconds of 'sharp scratch' type pain when the local anaesthetic is initially injected.
- You may experience some pain (usually 1-2 days after surgery), but this is temporary and you will be given medication if necessary.
