Minimise Exposure
- Anopheles mosquitoes are more active in damp, lowland areas and at night
- Nets treated with permethrin should be used around beds in high risk areas
- Long sleeves / trousers should be worn after dusk
- Diethyltoluamide (DEET) 20-50% can be used to deter mosquitoes from biting
- If using with sunscreen, apply DEET after sunscreen
