Try to use a standardised format and consider the following:
- Pt details
- PA/AP
- Inspiratory effort
- Rotation and Penetration
- ABCDE (airway, breath/lung fields, cardiac, diaphragm and everything else (ie fracture/ ICD/PPM/NG tube/subcutaneous emphysema))
Example of standardised style
- No obvious airway or trachea issues or deviation
- Lung fields clear
- Dextrocardia
- No signs of trauma. Gastric bubble on right
- (review areas) Apices, costophrenic angle and cardiac area clear
