- You reassure the patient that this is likely to be a benign mole and council them about checking their skin in future
- The patient is satisfied with your advice and makes no further appointments regarding this particular skin lesion
- The patient returns a few years later having noticed some red flag changes you counselled them to look out for in a different mole and is referred urgently for this to the dermatology clinic using an Urgent Suspected Cancer referral
