Outcome
Outcome:
- You refer the patient to Secondary Care using an Urgent Suspected Cancer referral
- This is appropriate as both the history the patient offered as well as the ABCDE assessment have raised concerns
- The patient is seen within 4 weeks by a Consultant Dermatologist who is sufficiently concerned to perform an excision biopsy of the lesion at the clinic appointment
- The patient is reviewed after a further 4 weeks by the Consultant once the biopsy result is available
- The result reveals squamous cell carcinoma
- More appointments will be arranged for the patient in Secondary Care
