Course Description
- Before you commence the course, you will be emailed two links to complete two tests:
- The first test assesses your knowledge on skin lesions and how they are triaged
- It should take approximately 20 minutes to complete
- The second test collects information about yourself and assesses your confidence and ability in triaging photographs of skin lesions before you have taken this course
- It should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete
Pre-course test
The course is designed to be taken over three sessions each lasting approximately one hour:
- In this section we will briefly discuss the structure of the skin as well as some benign and malignant skin lesions, a systematic approach to lesion assessment (including the ABCDE algorithm) and information on sun protection
- You will also be presented with training scenarios 1-3, and some multiple choice questions to check your learning
- Scenarios 4-7 and relevant quizzes
- You will have the opportunity to go over four interactive case studies and take some multiple-choice questions to check learning
- Scenarios 8-11 and relevant quizzes
- You will have the opportunity to go over four interactive case studies and take some multiple-choice questions to check your learning

- Each scenario is based upon a realistic e-consult, where a patient has submitted a photograph and text description of a skin lesion they are concerned about
- You will be asked to work through each scenario in turn, answering relevant questions and consolidating your approach to assessing skin
- The quizzes will test your growing knowledge
- Each quiz will present you with a question and 4 possible answers based on the learning materials
- Only ONE of them is correct
- Choose your answer, submit it and then receive instant feedback to check your response
- The multiple-choice quizzes are not part of the assessment for the course and can be taken as often as you like

- After you have completed the course you will again be emailed with two links to complete two tests
- The first one will be re-assessing your knowledge of skin lesions and their triage and should take no more than 20 minutes to complete
- The second test will focus on assessing your confidence and ability to triage photographs of skin lesions as a result of you having completed the course
- It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete
Post-course test
You have 6 weeks to complete the course
