Examine the palate directly or indirectly through a dental mirror.
INSPECT:
- Hard palate
- Alveolar ridge
- Rugae
- Gingival margin
- Soft Palate
- Uvula
- Palatal surface of teeth
NOTE:
- Site, size, shape, colour, contour, characteristics of any lesions or swellings
- Mucosal or gingival bleeding, ulcers
- Erosion of palatal surface of teeth
