Lipomas are benign non-cancerous tumours made of fat cells. They slowly grow under the skin in the subcutaneous tissue over years. It is characteristically a mobile dome-shaped lump with a rubbery consistency.
Keloids are a form of scar. They are characteristically firm, smooth, hard growths and commonly arise but extend out from sites of injury especially on the upper chest and shoulders.
