Skin tags (soft fibromas) are common, benign, soft, skin-coloured or hyperpigmented, pedunculated lesions that appear to hang off the skin. They are typically found in the skin folds (neck, axilla, and groin).
Viral warts are common benign lesions caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. They can be categorised by site; cutaneous or mucosal. Cutaneous viral warts are characterised by a hard, keratinous surface and small red/ black dots (papillary capillaries) visible in the wart surface.
