Hood and Leggings
This woman’s hood and the leggings were most likely made by the same Cree seamstress. Clothing like this was worn on ceremonial occasions by women in the James Bay area until the late nineteenth century and combined trade goods, such as woollen cloth, silk and glass beads with Cree iconography and forms.
