Postgraduate Research Events & Support

Below you can find information on some of the resources and events that run throughout the academic year to help our postgraduate students excel throughout their studies.

Common Room: The School of LLMVC has a dedicated space for its staff and PGR students, a friendly common room located in Old Brewery OBG01. The door is kept locked but you can get the code from the PGR Student Handbook. The common room is yours to use as you like, for meetings, quiet study, social events, to eat lunch or grab a coffee.
PG Conference: Our annual Postgraduate Research Conference showcases postgraduate research in the school. At this event PhD students in their second year of study or beyond, give their annual research presentation. For some, this may be their first research paper, while others may already be old hands on the conference circuit. Either way, it is an opportunity for students to improve their presenting skills, to try out aspects of their thesis in a research paper format, and to get feedback on their work from staff and fellow research students across the school.
