Biography
Born with a passion for language and education, I embarked on a fulfilling career as a teacher, specializing in Mandarin language instruction. I am a fully qualified and experienced educator with a diverse background in language teaching.
As an educator, I pride myself on being professional, confident, and friendly. These qualities, combined with my extensive teaching experience and comprehensive knowledge, enable me to create a supportive and inspiring atmosphere for my students. Building strong relationships based on trust and respect is a priority for me, as it encourages the growth and development of my students both academically and personally.
As I continue my teaching journey, I look forward to embracing new opportunities and challenges, nurturing young minds, and fostering a deeper appreciation for Mandarin. Through my passion for language and cultural exploration, I aim to make a positive impact on the lives of my students, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in an interconnected global society.

Teaching Responsibilities
As a lecturer in Chinese, I am responsible for the design, development, and delivery of a range of courses at various academic levels. My teaching mainly involves the following activities:
- coordinate and manage the design and organisation of Level 2 Chinese
- Plan and deliver Level 1 Chinese oral classes
- Plan and deliver Level 2 Chinese lectures
- Assess Level 2 Chinese: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Translation
Non-course Teaching Responsibilities
I am also a personal tutor, looking after seven tutees.
I also mentor colleagues from the Aberdeen Confucius Institute in teaching Level 2 oral.
