Pioneer Spirit with Pen Hadow: Canada to the North Pole
-
This is a past event
In this fascinating illustrated talk, Pen Hadow will assert the on-going importance of the role of explorer, as a communicator and collector of information between the natural world and the scientific research laboratory.
Pen Hadow’s world-class reputation was secured when he became the first person to have trekked solo, without resupply by third parties, from Canada to the North Geographic Pole – a feat that has never been repeated and thought comparable to making the first solo ascent of Everest without oxygen.
