A student - led curator's talk on evolutionary theories and deep time

Following the opening of the MLitt Museum Studies students' exhibition 'Victorian Time: The Spirit of the Age', the lunchtime talks will elaborate on various themes and objects found within. As part of a series of lunchtime talks held in King's Museum MLitt student, Emma Paterson, provides a free talk on the Victorian interest in evolutionary theories and deep time. With reference to Scottish examples, this talk will give a brief look into the main theories and figures within geology at the time will give insight into the Victorian fascination with looking back into the very distant past.
