In collaboration with the Special Collections Centre at the University of Aberdeen, the Film & Visual Culture department is pleased to present an on-going series of occasional film screenings in the Sir Duncan Rice Library Gallery.
In the first screening of the series, on 18 April from 6-7:30pm, we show five early shorts by experimental filmmaker Ben Rivers. The films present a series of portraits of unconventional lives – of people existing, to varying degrees, in wilderness or isolation. This LUX touring programme has been curated to coincide with the forthcoming UK release of Rivers' acclaimed feature film Two Years At Sea.
