Explorers wanted! Calling all Arctic Adventurers, Global Gallivanters and Safari Seekers: the University of Aberdeen needs savvy survivors and intrepid investigators with a thirst for excitement! Come and join us for a thrilling and action packed evening of exploration and discovery. Don't forget to get your passport stamped!

The annual Night at the Museums event is back and bigger than ever. This year the new Sir Duncan Rice Library Gallery joins the action alongside University of Aberdeen favourites; King’s Museum, the Zoology Museum, the Cruickshank Gardens and the Natural History Centre.

The evening will be packed with crafts, survival and bush craft challenges, museum trails and quizzes, explorer bingo, competitions, games, a safari photo station, ‘hands on archaeology’ workshops, garden tours and not forgetting the fantastic museum exhibitions and displays!

The Special Collections Library Gallery will be showcasing a global travellers’ exhibition, while at King’s Museum visitors will explore the Arctic through Alaskan archaeology. Visitors will encounter wild animals in the Zoology Museum, uncover the exploits of plant hunters in the Natural History Centre, and hone their survival skills in the Cruickshank Gardens.

Animal handling sessions, Bushcraft Ventures sessions and the garden tours will run at timed slots throughout the evening. Please sign up on the night to book your space. Please note that demand is very high for tickets and that spaces are limited for each activity.
