Symposium hosted by the Special Collections Centre in partnership with NEPAN, (an artist-led North East Participatory Arts Network) and engage Scotland. This FREE networking event and symposium is a great opportunity for creative professionals working in the North East of Scotland to meet and share ideas.
The programme includes:
- A practical opportunity to learn about how the University of Aberdeen Special Collections Centre engages visitors with its historic collections through participatory arts activities.
- Case studies of local gallery/ visual arts education projects.
- An artist-led afternoon session addressing the obstacles which photographers and artist facilitators working in specific “territories” can face, with a focus on collaborations, conflicts and positive approaches to participation.
