This is a past event
The dramatic life of a local heroine of botanical history is unveiled in this facinating illustrated talk.
The Chelsea Belladonna explores the extraordinary life of Aberdeenshire-born botanical illustrator Elizabeth Blackwell. Square Peg Productions, a Yorkshire-based theatre company, have this year created an outdoor promenade production, based on the life of the 18th-century creator of A Curious Herbal, a rare copy of which is currently on display in the exhibition. Angela Cairns, Director Square Peg Productions, discusses the development of the production and highlights the historical importance of Blackwell.
