Dr Mark Davidson trained as a paediatric intensivist with areas of specific interest and expertise including ECMO, cardiac intensive care, flexible bronchoscopy and retrieval medicine. He has been a consultant at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow for the past 15 years where he is the Clinical Director of the Scottish Paediatric Cardiac Service and the Director of ECMO Service. Out with the hospital, he is chair of the Paediatric Critical Care Society ECMO Group and a member of the certification work group of the ELSO  Education Taskforce. He sits on the group eading its roll out within EuroElso. He serves on the sterring committee of EuroElso. He is widely published on subjects including ECMO and other areas of intensive care, including co-authoring several book chapters.

In his spare time, Dr Davidson is addicted to cycling cannicross and his family - but not necessarily in that order.
