Reforming the UK’s Petroleum Tax
Abstract
On 4 December 2014, the Treasury published its review of the oil and gas fiscal regime setting out the case for reform. The ensuing changes to the fiscal regime, however, were short of what was intended. This research seminar will first look at the case for reforming the oil and gas tax regime before discussing what a tax regime that is actually aligned with the Treasury’s intentions may look like.
