We are delighted to report the publication of the Elgar Concise Encyclopedia of Oil and Gas Law edited by Tina Soliman Hunter (Macquarie University), Angela Dobb (Independent Subsurface Consultant), and Ernst Nordtveit (University of Bergen).
AUCEL members contributed to this publication showcasing the expertise on energy regulation in the School of Law. Dr Edy Wifa and PGR student Nnennaya J. Nwali contributed an entry on ‘Resource curse’; Prof John Paterson – on ‘Piper Alpha’, and Dr Daria Shapovalova – three entries around environmental law and oil and gas – i) climate change, ii) oil spills, and iii) environmental regulation.
The Encyclopedia provides a comprehensive overview of the engineering and geological aspects of oil and gas activities, placed within their legal context, as well as legal aspects of these activities. The AUCEL members contributions reflect depth of research and expertise across all aspects of energy production activities.
