Offshore Renewable Energy Installations: Requirements, guidance and operational considerations for SAR and Emergency Response (November 2021)
Dr Eddy Wifa and Prof John Paterson submitted a consultation response to the Marine & Coastguard Agency (MCA) on the Offshore Renewable Energy Installations: Requirements, guidance and operational considerations for SAR and Emergency Response. The submission was inspired by an ongoing funded project on offshore wind lighting and safety. In the consultation response, both John and Eddy argued for a reconsideration of the regulatory architecture for offshore wind safety in the UK, perhaps in a manner that is analogous to the offshore oil and gas industry. European Union Strategy on Offshore Renewable Energy Consultation (September 2020)
Dr Daria Shapovalova and Dr Eddy Wifa, in a joint submission with Dr Ignacio Herrera-Anchustegui (Bergen Offshore Wind Centre), provided a response to the EU consultation for the new strategy on offshore renewable energy strategy. Scottish Government Just Transition Consultation (June 2020)
The Scottish Just Transition Commission sought input on the challenges and opportunities of implementing net-zero goals in Scotland. Responses have now been published and you can find our contribution here or in this pdf file.
