The next Public Law Reading Seminar will discuss two chapters from Feminist Constitutionalism (edited by Baines, Barak-Erez, and Kahana. Available through the library as an e-book):

Chapter 10 – On Parity, Interdependence and Women’s Democracy by Blanca Rodríguez-Ruiz and Ruth Rubio-Marín

Chapter 13 – The Promise of Democratic Constitutionalism: Women, Constitutional Dialogue, and the Internet by Tsvi Kahana and Rachel Stephenson

Both chapters are from the same section titled ‘Feminism, Democracy, and Political Participation.’ They raise interesting questions for discussion about the nature of participatory democracy and democratic constitutionalism, women’s participation in constitutional dialogue, and gender quotas.
