Our research vision is to provide a stimulating, nurturing and inclusive research environment and culture to lead to the generation of high quality outputs; the seeking and obtaining grant income which is most suited to our research (from international networks to individual fellowships); the delivering research led teaching and an effective and supportive environment and pathway for PGRs; the embedding delivery of impact, and pipelines towards it, as one outcome of our research; and engagement with the legal profession, the academy, industry and civil society. Our goal is to be structured yet flexible, and to align with the University goals for research and for Aberdeen 2040 (notably regarding the research challenges and interdisciplinary work) while also supporting independent intellectual curiosity.
