The School of Law is delighted to celebrate with the winners of the Williamson prize. This is awarded by the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen for the best dissertation as part of the LLB(Hons) degree.
- The first prize was awarded to Myles Cormack for his dissertation on 'Capital maintenance and creditor protection; do the rules provide adequate protection?'
- The second prize was jointly awarded to Jamie Steel for her dissertation 'Preventative detention in Germany and England...the way forward' and Seonaid Cochrane for her dissertation 'International relocation of resident parents - a comparative discussion on the approach in Scotland and other jurisdictions. Proposal for future direction'

The award was presented at a short ceremony in the Taylor Library ahead of the LLB graduations at 3pm, 8th July 2014.
