School of Law PhD student Muhammed Nurullah Benli recently attended a five-day international summer school alongside other PhD students and academics from 22 universities located in Europe, Africa, and Canada. The Summer School, organised by an international academic network, including the University of Aberdeen, was hosted this year by the University Côte d'Azur under the theme ‘Non-Military Coercive Measures in International and European Law’.
Muhammed presented a paper titled ‘The Lesser Room for Countermeasures in Reaction to the Violation of Sovereignty in Cyberspace’ which was prepared under the supervision of Professor Irene Couzigou. The Summer School provided Muhammed with a great opportunity to refine the robustness of his research arguments as he approaches the end of his PhD journey. Muhammed also had the opportunity to network with other researchers in the area of International and European Law. Muhammed’s paper will be published in a dedicated book by Editoriale Scientifica in 2024.
