Dr Thomas L Muinzer (Co-Director, Aberdeen University Centre for Energy Law) participated in a discussion as a panellist at the event “Climate Laws & the Fight for 1.5C Across the Island of Ireland and the EU”. The event, hosted by EJNI, Climate Case Ireland and Friends of the Earth drew together 8 experts on Irish climate law, was very well attended, and led to lively discussion between the panellists and audience. It took place over 12:00-13:15, 27/4/21.
Dr Muinzer also wrotea new article, "Russell's Paradox and the Principle of Parliamentary Sovereignty", published by the UK Constitutional Law Association on its blog. In it he draws on the thinking of British philosopher Bertrand Russell to demonstrate a fallacy underlying AV Dicey's influential summative definition of "Parliamentary Sovereignty". Happy reading!
