The Aberdeen University Centre for Energy Law has become the latest body to be accepted into the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law. IUCN, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, was created in 1948, and has since evolved into the world’s largest and most diverse environmental network. The IUCN Academy The IUCN Academy of Environmental Law is an international network of approximately 200 environmental law faculties and research centres from 60 countries. It is involved in a number of research and education activities with the aim of promoting robust environmental governance essential for sustainable development.
Aberdeen University Law School has well-established expertise in energy and environmental law and are committed to pursuing sustainable development through advancing research and legal education. The members of the Aberdeen University Centre for Energy Law are looking forward to productive collaborations within the IUCN Academy network.
