Dr Irène Couzigou recently participated in a one day Forum on the Governance of the Internet organised at the University of Paris 5 attended by approximately 1000 people. She was the legal expert of a panel on cybersecurity and cybersecurity. Five academics and practioners, including a member of the French army, discussed cybersecurity issues with the audience and made recommendations in favour of a better security in the use of the Internet. Dr Couzigou explained how States can currently legally react to cyberattacks and how international law should evolve in order to allow a more efficient response of States to cyberattacks committed by non-State actors.
This Forum precedes the Internet Governance Forum to be hosted by France at the UNESCO in November 2018.
