Prof. Tina Hunter and Dr. Daria Shapovalova are at the Northern Arctic Federal University (NArFU) in Arkhangelsk today and tomorrow presenting their respective papers on 'Regulating impacts on ecosystems: applying adaptive regulation to mitigate the potential adverse impact of petroleum extraction activities in the Russian Arctic.' and 'Protecting Arctic Ecosystems through International Law and Policy: The Analysis of Effectiveness of Existing Framework'. This is part of the Development of the UK-Russia Arctic Research and Collaboration Network in conjunction with the FCO & the UK Embassy in Russia. The project is thematically focused on changing Arctic from the perspective of the Russia's State Program on the Arctic Zone Development and the Adapting to Change UK policy towards the Arctic
