Looking back is the new way of looking forward. That is why the Romanian Union of Students (RoNUS) and the European Law Student's Association (ELSA Aberdeen) are introducing to you a new concept “EU seen from a 3D dimension”. We start doing this by bringing at the University of Aberdeen Dr Mihai Delcea, the Head of the Consular Office of Romania in Edinburgh. Dr Delcea will touch upon subjects as free movement and the role played by the EU in the current humanitarian crisis. Dr Delcea is able to offer unique insights into this topical debate from the coalface. The discussant,Dr Mátyás Bódig is a legal theorist who has a long-standing interest in the relation of citizenship to rule of law and will complement Dr Delcea's remarks from the perspective of an academic. This lecture will emphasis that the EU is represented by its citizens and in today’s complicated reality youth proves to be a strategic resource for a stronger European Union. ELSA Aberdeen and RoNUS hope that this discussion will help you reflect on the role you can play on the international arena, through your academic and extracurricular work.
