Dr. Irène Couzigou was invited to deliver a reasearch seminar at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany on 29 November. In her seminar "Unlawful Cyber Operations under International Law", she argued that Public International Law can apply to cyberspace. She then analysed how States could infringe fundamental international principles when resorting to information technology, in particular the principles of sovereignty, of non-intervention into the reserved matters of a State, and of the prohibition on the use of inter-State armed force. Approximately 50 staff and students attended the presentation that was followed by discussion.
