Digital Skills for the Modern Workplace

Microsoft Modern Workplace offers a suite of digital tools that can be used by all University staff and students. These include familiar apps like Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as a host of other tools which may be less familiar to you. These can assist you with a variety of tasks including scheduling, time management, notetaking, workflow management and more.

To help you get the most out of these tools and more, the Digital Skills Team has developed Digital Skills for the Modern Workplace - a programme of online workshops and accompanying resources which you can refer to whenever you need.

Resources on Teams

You can access the resources, discussion space, and workshop schedule via the Digital Skills for the Modern Workplace team.

To join the team, either:

  • click the following link: join the Digital Skills for the Modern Workplace team
  • join the team with a code.
    Open Microsoft Teams, click the 'Teams' icon at the left side of the screen, and click 'Join or create team'. If your teams are displayed in list view, click the plus icon ('Create and join teams and channels') above the list of teams. This should give you an option to join a team with a code. Enter code 3jlnqhm to join.
