Further Phishing Emails currently being received

What is happening?

The University of Aberdeen is receiving a larger than normal amount of phishing emails this week.  

Example subject lines include:

  • Further Reminder AY7823047
  • Outstanding invoices - UQ408745
  • And most recently “Blackboard Learn Access”

What should you do?

These phishing emails are becoming more sophisticated and can contain detail that mimics University contacts. Please be aware these are all spam emails designed to harvest login details.   

Please DO NOT respond or open these links/attachments. Please delete these from your Inbox and if in doubt, please email the Service Desk but do not include any attachments.
