Essential maintenance to the Universities telephone system
What is happening?
One of the University telephone controllers has failed and needs to be repaired. The repair of the system will lead to an outage of telephony in the following buildings on Wednesday 7 May:
All phone lines affected
- Macrobert (all phones bar reception desk)
- 24 High Street
- 23 St. Machar Drive
About 50% of phone lines affected
- 5 Dunbar St
- Edward Wright
- Kings
- New Kings
- Old Brewery
- Old Town House
- Regent Building
- Taylor Building
- William Guild
Please note: Security Services and lift phone lines are not affected.
What should you do?
Please do not use your phone line if you are based in the above buildings during the above times. If the planned outage will severely impact work that you have planned then can you please contact us urgently to discuss.
