Edward Wright Building, EW Annexe and Car Park closed – Saturday 13 April / Sunday 14 April

Edward Wright Building, EW Annexe and Car Park closed – Saturday 13 April / Sunday 14 April

No anticipated impact to IT Services but for safety reasons, footpaths and access to buildings adjacent to the works will be restricted.

What is happening?

The Edward Wright building, Edward Wright Annexe and the Edward Wright car park will be closed from 07:00 on Saturday 13 April until potentially 16:00 Sunday 14 April to allow access for a large crane and support vehicles to change out the stand-by generator adjacent to the Edward Wright Building.

As the generator lift will pass over the roof of the Edward Wright Annexe, the building will require to be empty during this period.  For safety reasons, footpaths and access to buildings adjacent to the works will be restricted / controlled during the lift.

What should you do?

IT Services do not anticipate any interruption to core IT services during this time but we recommend that you save your work frequently in order to minimise disruption should there be any power outage.

If you need access to PC classrooms, a list of alternative locations can be found at http://www.abdn.ac.uk/dit/student/class/wherepc.php. 24hour access classrooms are available in the MacRobert building.
