NVivo 10 now available for install. License for Nvivo 9 will expire 31 May 2013
What is happening?
Staff and students can now install NVivo 10. If you are already a version 9 user, please note that to continue using NVivo, you MUST install version 10 as the license for version 9 will expire on 31 May 2013.
NVivo is qualitative data analysis software. It helps you to organise, sort and arrange unstructured information such as documents, surveys, audio, video, and images, allowing you to analyse them in detail and ultimately to make better decisions.

What should you do?

Installing NVivo 10
You can install NVivo 10 on your office desktop PC or networked laptop yourself via Microsoft Software Center. If you already have NVivo 9.2 installed, then please follow the directions for removal as given under 'Removing NVivo 10' below.
- From your Start Menu, browse to All Programs > Microsoft System Centre 2012 > Configuration Manager > Software Center
- From the list of software available for installation, click on NVivo 10 then Install
- The installation will take from 10 to 60 minutes. You can minimise the installation screen while the software is installing but please do not restart your PC until installation is complete.
Removing NVivo 9
- From your Start Menu, browse to All Programs > Microsoft System Centre 2012 > Configuration Manager > Software Center
- From the list of software available for installation, click on Remove NVivo 9.2, then Install
- The removal will take from 10 to 60 minutes. You can minimise the installation screen while the software is being removed, but please do not restart your PC.

- Subject: NVivo Installation Request
- Your Name
- Contact Phone Number
- PC Name, e.g. CLSM-001234

Use your university username and password to download NVivo from the Software Download Service at www.abdn.ac.uk/local/download:
•Click on Other Applications > NVivo>Version 10
