Changes to StudentMail service
What is happening?
Following problems with some students accounts and for security and reliability reasons the University will reinstate the policy of preventing the automatic forwarding of messages from StudentMail account.
From 12:00 today ( Tuesday 29th November 2011 ) the ability to automatically forward/redirect messages from StudentMail to other accounts will be disabled.
The following features of StudentMail will still continue to function:
- Forwarding of individual messages to other users
- Synchronisation of email account via mobile devices
- Pulling email from an external account into Studentmail (but it is not possible the other way around). See http://www.abdn.ac.uk/studentmail/faq.shtml#emailredirect for more details.
What should you do?
Check your StudentMail account regularly for messages from the University regarding your studies.
