What is happening?
DIT have identified a hardware fault with one of the two servers and we plan to replace this faulty server, with a newly commissioned server. As a result, we plan to introduce this new server tonight, Wednesday 10th February 2010 at 17:30.
This will mean that access to the affected filespace and printers will be interrupted for a period of approximately 4 hours. Once complete, the service should be available again at around 21:30.
What should you do?
Please ensure that if you have been using the affected services that you are logged off by 17:30 tonight, this will avoid any potential data loss. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding whilst we work to resolve this issue.
