IT Network Maintenance - Thursday 29 July
What is happening?
There are two major IT maintenance items taking place on Thursday 29 July that may impact you.

The outages may affect staff at Old Aberdeen and Foresterhill as well as remote IT system connectivity.
What should you do? Please you save your work regularly during this time period.

| VPN Service sma.abdn.ac.uk | 6pm | 3am | VPN service sma.abdn.ac.uk will be undergoing maintenance
During this period, the VPN service will be unavailable entirely.
Established connections will disconnect from 6pm and any attempted connections during the process may fail or intermittently disconnect
What should you do We recommend that you disconnect from the VPN before 6pm and do not try to use the service again until Friday 30 July |
Why is this happening?
This planned maintenance is to make changes related to core network connectivity. The changes are part of replacement of the University core network that is nearing completion.
