Generic lecturer IT accounts to be disabled
What’s happening?
We will be disabling the following generic lecturer IT accounts on Friday 15 February:
- oalecturer
- fhlecturer
- sclecturer
- adslecturer
How might this affect you?
If you are accustomed to using one or more of these generic accounts to log onto lecture theatre or classroom computers, be aware that from Friday 15 February you will need to use your own IT account username and password instead.
Why is this happening?
Although these generic IT accounts have been in use for many years, they have no unique owner associated with them and so present a high security risk. We are disabling the accounts as part of our ongoing security measures.
