Stephanie was awarded the prize for the best MSc in Human Nutrition project
Stephanie Andraos joined the CGEBM this year as an MSc project student in an interdisciplinary project with the Rowett Institue of Nutrition and Health (RINH). Stephanie has been awarded the Geraldine McNeil Research Prize for the best MSc in Human Nutrition project. Stephanie's project, entitled "Molecular phenotyping of sub-groups within a study population using next generation sequencing", investigated molecular phenotypes in individuals stratified by gene expression of a proposed health biomarker. This expanded on previous work within the BABS cohort. Stephanie's data provides further mechanistic insight and supports the candidate as a health status biomarker.
Congratulations to Stephanie for her award and receiving a Masters in Science with Distinction. We wish her all the best of luck with her future studies when she begins her PhD shortly!
