Love them or hate them, fungi are integral to our lives as nature's recyclers, plant saviours and sometimes killers, pharmacists, bakers and brewers.

This event is part of British Science Week 2015, to view the full programme of events please visit www.abdn.ac.uk/engage/nsew

Our Cafe Scientifique Aberdeen City series takes place monthly in Waterstone's Union Bridge book store in Aberdeen's Union Street, usually around the middle Wednesday of the month. Sessions run from January through to October and are free to attend. No booking is required and places are allocated on the first-come basis. What's more, most events are free (though some require booking). All are pitched at a very accessible level and give ample time for audience questions and discussion.

This event is part of British Science Week. Each March the British Science Association Aberdeen Branch brings you dozens of events to celebrate the UK's only national festival of science.

The programme has events for people of all ages and interests including talks and activity days. There is a full programme of events taking place from the 13th to the 22nd of March around Aberdeen.
