Research

Research Overview

My research mainly examines the influences on women's health particularly in midlife and beyond, often using routinely collected data and includes:

  • The Royal College of General Practioners' Oral Contraception Study (a prospective cohort study established in 1968).
  • The influence of contemporary hormonal contraception on the risk of cancers in women of reproductive age.
  • Uptake of cancer screening.
  • Menopausal symptoms.
  • Sequelae of common surgeries, commonly prescribed medications, pre-eclampsia and midlife lifestyle.
