In follow up to the Talk Data: Health Data Science in Clinical Trials session in July Professor Graeme Laurie, Chair of Medical Jurisprudence University of Edinburgh, Director of the JK Mason Institute for Medicine, Life Sciences and Law Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator in Medical Humanities and Leslie Stevens, ESRC Research Fellow, Administrative Data Research Centre - Scotland, visited the university and gave a great presentation discussing the myths and realities of public sector information governance and their aspiration for Scotland to move beyond a culture of caution to a culture of confidence. 

A vibrant and interesting discussion followed with the audience of around forty who were from diverse areas including health data science Researchers, Clinicians, Research Governance, NHS Grampian Information Governance,  IT Programmers and Analysts, Research Co-ordinators, Social Scientists and Bioinformaticians.
