The report from the Health Informatics Research Advisory Group (HIRAG), chaired by Professor Sir Lewis Ritchie, is published on behalf of the eHealth Strategy Board and Chief Scientist Office of the Scottish Government and describes a Health and Biomedical Informatics Research Strategy for Scotland: enhancing capability in health informatics for patient and public benefit 2015-2020.
The report outlines a nationwide collaborative approach which will position Scotland well in its ambition to set the international standard for secure use of routinely collectively patient data for research.
