Congratulations to our two O&G Medal Exam Winners!
Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Fattah won the Sir Dugald Baird Medal, for the best combined marks in the O&G OSCEs year 3-5 MBChB and the Medal O&G exam.
Abdel-Rahman said, "I am delighted to have been awarded the Sir Dugald Baird Medal. Sir Dugald Baird is a true legend in modernising women health care and research and I am honoured to receive his medal. I will strive to hold his principles for holistic patient care.
I would like to thank the University of Aberdeen for delivering outstanding Obstetrics and Gynaecology teaching throughout the medical school and the Aberdeen Centre for Women’s Health Research (ACWHR) for their kind recognition."
Congratulations also to Catriona Young, year 5 MBChB student, who is the winner of the James Matthews Duncan Medal for the top mark in the O&G Medal exam.
Catriona shared, "I was really pleased to have won the medal after thoroughly enjoying my obstetric and gynaecology placement in medical school. This has been further encouragement as I hope to pursue a career in this field."
Well done and all the best to both of you in your future careers!
