The Farr Institute and the Innovative Healthcare Delivery Programme (IHDP) are recruiting for the new position of Communications and Events Assistant to provide communications and event management support to The Farr Institute, The Farr Institute Scotland and the associated Innovative Healthcare Delivery Programme (IHDP). The job holder will also provide support to the Communications Manager of The Farr Institute network to facilitate UK-wide communications efforts.
The post holder will be based at NINE Edinburgh BioQuarter, Little France (with occasional local and UK-wide travel) and will support The Farr Institute’s Network team, Scotland team and the IHDP team.

UK Biobank Data Analyst

UK Biobank are seeking to appoint a data analyst to contribute to the development of UK Biobank, an international research resource based on data of unparalleled breadth and depth from 500,000 UK adults.
You will join the UK Biobank Chief Scientist’s team, based at the Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences on the University of Edinburgh’s Little France campus. You will work with large amounts of complex, real world, electronic health-related data linked to UK Biobank participants. You will provide data management, manipulation and analysis expertise and support to the UK Biobank team of epidemiologists, statisticians and clinicians, assisting with development of algorithms to adjudicate disease outcome status among thousands of UK Biobank participants.
