Marion Malcolm (Unit Business Manager) is participating in the 2015 AUA study tour to Belgium and the Netherlands, taking place in early November.
The AUA is the professional association for all who work in Professional Services in Higher Education, and the Study Tours are regular events organised through its International Higher Education network for the benefit of members, to strengthen international links between the AUA and similar overseas organisations and other higher education institutions, and to provide learning opportunities from an international context.
Marion will be joined by colleagues from the Universities of Cardiff and Surrey, UCL, London South Bank University and Edge Hill University, and the tour will be visiting Leiden University, VU Amsterdam, the University of Amsterdam, Delft University of Technology and the University of Antwerp. The tour will be exploring three specific themes; the internationalisation of higher education, the impact of research and changes in research funding on the HE sector and managing student employability, and will produce a report detailing the group’s findings and observations in 2016.
You can follow the progress of the tour on the group’s blog - http://auadutch2015.blogspot.co.uk/ - or using the tour’s chosen hashtag #AUADutch.
The Association of University Administrators exists to advance and promote the professional recognition and development of all who work in professional services roles in higher education, and provides an invaluable tool for peer knowledge sharing and supporting career development for those working in Higher Education.
