We are pleased to welcome three Australian visitors to the Unit this month.
All will be working with Professor Vikki Entwistle.
Prof Stacy Carter, Centre for Values, Ethics and the Law in Medicine (VELiM), Sydney School of Public Health, University of Sydney will be visiting 10-12 September. Professor Carter will deliver an IAHS seminar on 11 September entitled: What forms of paternalism are acceptable in public health? A discussion with illustrations from interventions to reduce body weight in populations.
Prof Wendy Rogers, Professor of Clinical Ethics in the Philosophy Department and the Australian School of Advanced Medicine at Macquarie University, Sydney will be visiting 22-24 September. Professor Rogers will deliver an IAHS seminar on 23 September entitled: The challenges of overdiagnosis: what is it and why is it ethically problematic?
Kristen Pickles, Centre for Values, Ethics and the Law in Medicine (VELiM), University of Sydney will be visiting 22-24 September and will be delivering the HSRU LRM on 24 September at 2pm.
